No.
900-SA Series, High Performance
Industrial Heat Resistant Coating
is a low temperature curing, heat
resistant coating, curable at temperatures
as low as 300F (149C) in sixteen hours
or at 400F (204C) in one hour. No.
900-SA is formulated from specially
modified silicone acrylic resin and
pure high temperature pigments. Only
the finest ingredients available are
used to produce this unique coating.
The cured film will withstand continuous
operating temperatures up to 900F
(482C). Flame Control No. 900-SA contains
no sponifiable resins and is, therefore,
suitable for application over zinc
rich primers. Also suitable for use
on stainless steel surfaces where
stress corrosion cracking is a major
concern. No. 900-SA is formulated
with special ingredients to minimize
contamination from chlorides, other
halides, sulfides, nitrates and metals
which are known to induce external
stress corrosion cracking of stainless
steel. It contains no free metallic
zinc and, therefore, will not contribute
to embitterment of stainless steel
welds.
No. 900-SA is a protective and decorative
coating for use on mufflers, furnaces,
boilers, stacks, pipes and other metal
surfaces that will have service temperatures
up to 900F (482C). Can be applied
direct to any metal surface that has
been sandblasted to a white metal
finish, or over organic or inorganic
zinc rich primers. Use wherever a
low temperature curing, silicone-acrylic,
heat resistant coating is desired.
Not recommended for use on the inside
of ovens, stacks, etc.
This coating dries by solvent evaporation
and by polymerization, however, the
coating must be heat cured to obtain
maximum film properties, resistance
to chemicals, and heat. Properly cured,
the coating shows remarkable ability
to withstand prolonged exposure to
temperatures to 900F (482C). 900-SA
may be applied over inorganic primers,
and possesses excellent adhesion,
however some zinc rich primers may
have a tendency to bleed into the
No. 900-SA coating, causing colors
to appear lighter or darker. Note
that zinc rich primers have lower
temperature limits and will affect
the heat resistance of No. 900-SA

No 450C
High Temperature Resistant Coating is
a special silicone copolymer coating,
designed to meet the stringent demands
of a high temperature resistant coating
for use on aluminized steel. The material
has a low luster to enhance the uniform
appearance of the aluminized steel.
The curing mechanism is a combination
of solvent evaporation and resin cross
linking. The coating air dries to a
tough finish and is designed to withstand
handling shortly after application at
ambient temperature (77F). Finish: Low
luster Black.
Use wherever maximum resistance to
heat, humidity and weather is required
on manifolds, mufflers and radiators
at maximum temperature of 450C (842F)
This unique coating performs as well
as many pure silicone coatings, but
has the distinct advantage of air
curing. It has excellent adhesion
to Aluminized Steel and also affords
good corrosion resistance along with
outstanding weather resistance
